Bombing down to Phoenix

(when Vegas is just not hot enough)

So Scott & I left Friday at about noon to drop off his Vert & my T34 ghia parts. We were in route to Buddy Hale and Matt Howards Shop Type 1 Restorations. Nothing like cutting out of work early on a Friday to do VW stuff. Buddy calls while we're on the road and asks if we were planning on stayng the night. We had originally planned to just Bomb down & straight back. Buddy told us about a VW meet every 2nd Friday in Tempe at the Sonic. Did i mention it was FREAKIN HOT. Not a breeze was to be had. I Rode over with Matt Howard in his ALL Original 21 Window. Scott & Buddy rode over in the Vert. Here are some pics of that night.

There was a show that Saturday but we couldnt stay. We hung out for about 2 hours. Then back to Matts house. Unloaded T34 ghia part's and headed back for home. It was about 10:20 pm. Fuled up on some energy drinks topped off the gas thursty "polar express" (Scott'sSuburban) and hit the road. It was pretty cool to have a weekend experiance in 1 day, matter of fact about 15hours. I got home at about 3:15am and crashed HARD. As Ice cube says "It was a good day"
