3'rd Friday @ Desert VW on W. Sahara
At about 2:00pm I get a call from Tom @ Classic V-dubs to remind me about 3rd Friday @ Desert VW. So, I called Scott Moses and Cliff Usher & we coordinated our meet to be West sahara & 215 @ about 7:30pm. Scott was planning on bringing his Double Cab to Desert VW. After a stern lecture on the phone, he was convinced to leave the ugly duckling at home and bring out his prom date, the infamous "Red Vert". Scott & I hit the 215 & head up to meet with Cliff. Then onward to Desert VW.
We get to Desert VW. There is already about 15-20 car there (I didn't get an exact count). I only have a few pics Ok 1 pic thats worth posting(the others were all blury). And here it is. I know its nothing to look at. I mean who hasn't seen my bus. Oh, thats Scotts Turboed vert in front of my bus.
Send me some more pics so I can post them up. Send the pics to vegasvolks@cox.net . I promise I will post them up. It was good to see so many cars, especially for the first Desert VW meet. The excitement came 1st with Scott's Red Vert & 2nd with Dimitrius' RHD 61 Notch back (in order of appearance). It's always great to see fresh new cars hiting the scene. It was great timing to get us all hyped for the VW Classic 2006 comming up in june. Brent Miller showed up in his mid-engine 4.3L Chevy powered ghia. There were a lot of cool cars there, so I think we will see more cars on the next 3rd Friday. GOOD TIMES
